I am concerned about the damage to the archaeology in particular at the entrance to the tunnels. The tunnels are too short and start in the midst of phenomenal archaeology. The current plan will permanently damage the World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting. UNESCO's advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form and the newly discovered Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting will be damaged. I am also very concerned that there is a lack of alternative options that would not damage the World Heritage Site in the consultation.
