  1. The proposal will damage UNESCO listed site.
  2. This will damage archaeology of the site itself and surrounding landscape. Deep cut tunnels through barrows or close to them is terrrible.
  3. The stones belong to us all. It is wrong to restrict seeing them to thise who can pay. At present, the stones can be seen from the road. Beautiful first thing in the morning. Do not take that away from ordinary people.
  4. UNESCO advises against this proposal. Their proposals and advice should be followed.
  5. The proposal threatens wildlife, particularly the Stone Curlew and Great Bustard.
  6. The extra noise from faster traffic will be awful for walkers and those seeking quiet enjoyment if the stones and the surrounding area. Thus could further adversly affect wildlife.
  7. The cost of the project should be spent elsewhere.
  8. Building wider roads and adding capacity simply leads to more traffic, so the proposal will not achieve its aims anyway.
