I am very concerned about the damage that the scheme will cause to the site, particularly in light of the concerns expressed by UNESCO and given that it is a World Heritage Site. The scheme will cause irreversible damage to the archaeology and setting and also to wildlife. There are also real concerns about the damage to Blick Mead and the archaeology there. Like many people, I have memories of seeing Stonehenge from the road and it would be so sad if that view could no longer be enjoyed. This site is so special to many people and has a unique value in our national heritage that should not be risked in the interests of a badly thought out road scheme.
