A303 Stonehenge Expressway
For some time now I have studied the implications of the proposals to dual the carriageway and create a short tunnel across the World Heritage Site.
I oppose the current scheme because:
the unique historic landscape with its very important above- and below-ground archaeology would be severely and permanently affected
UNESCO have opposed the scheme because of the site's international importance. I have followed UNESCO's work and always find myself agreeing with their principles. So, again, I take the same view as the experts in UNESCO.
Yours faithfully,
Warren Marsh
