This project cannot be permitted as it will permanently destroy parts of this iconic & unique UNESCO World Heritage Site. Preliminary exploratory work has already caused damage to the Blick Mead Mesolithic Site & further destruction cannot be allowed to erase vitally important & irreplaceable archaeology. The tunnel would also mean that Stonehenge itself would no longer be visible without people having to pay an entrance fee to view our most iconic site which was gifted to the nation. The area around Stonehenge has yet to reveal all its secrets & it's vital that this archaeology be preserved for future generations. A UNESCO WHS should not be under threat in this manner.
