I am very concerned by the plans for the development of the A303 in Wiltshire. Should such a scheme be completed, it would result in immense environmental damage to the world heritage site of Stone Henge - and its vicinity. The road would cause permanent damage to I request you to the world heritage site, its environs and the archaeology in the location. There are some endangered bird species which depend on this area for their survival. Examples include the stone curlew and great bustard. Any further pollution (from the increase in road traffic - and the area of land engulfed by the extended road) will seriously jeapordise these birds' survival. I urge you to do all you can to abolish this plan for any widening and/or other development of the A303.
