I object to the proposed plans because it will cause permanent damage to the World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting. UNESCO's advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form, suggesting that the development could endanger the site's World Heritage status. In particular, the scheme is very close to the recently excavated Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting, which is extremely important for understanding the origins of the Stonehenge monuments. Damage to this key site would be unforgivable by future generations and there is a danger that similar sites nearby could be destroyed by the scheme, which is far too close to important archaeological areas. This would destroy for ever the chance to uncover further evidence about the evolution of the Stonehenge landscape The consultation shows a complete lack of alternative options that would not damage the World Heritage Site. If the site is damaged, there is no way to recover or repair it in the future. This would be an unforgivable act of vandalism to one of the world's greatest archaeological sites and a major tourist attraction in the UK.
