It will ruin immense amounts of archaeology and change the landscape forever. It will take away the joy of seeing the Stones on the skyline when passing and feeling a connection to them and the thousand years of history. Most archaeological and landscape experts warn against this. The people of the Nation is mostly against this. UNESCO is strongly against the proposals and warns, Stonehenge might well loose its status as World Wide Heritage monument, if the scheme goes ahead. I am speaking as an archaeologist and as a tourist guide, and nobody is in favour of the plans.
