Remembering visits to Stonehenge some 60 years ago when one could park by the roadside and wander round the stones in peace I deplore the potential noise and intrusion of extra traffic on the expressway. An important part of such a site is it's solitude and the landscape in which it belongs, it isn't just a matter of preserving the stones but of the entire archaeological landscape.
