The landscape around Stonehenge is filled with evidence of life as it was lived from the Mesolithic to the present day, each contributing to the character of the landscape as it is today. This is really precious, It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most visited places in Britain. It merits any changes to transport routes through or around it being undertaken with the condition of this landscape at the forefront of any decision making. The A303 should not turn in to the next A34 with the destruction of culturally important sites as part of the process. Please, PLEASE, listen to the evidence provided by eminent archaeologists, ecologists and specialists, in all fields, and treat this area with the respect it deserves.
