I am primarily concerned with the irreparable damage this project could cause to both the World Heritage site and its surrounding landscape. Stonehenge is more than a single ancient site, rather it belongs to an entire network of important archaeological sites and points of interest in the landscape. If this project were to move forward, it is possible that we may never know how these various locations relate to one another. The archaeological and historical significance of Stonehenge cannot be limited or confined. I am a UCL anthropology postgrad who is deeply interested in landscape, art, and ancient history.
