I cannot but agree with Stonehenge Alliance that the current scheme will cause irreparable damage to the WHS, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’ and damage Blick Mead Mesolthic site and its setting.

It has been condemned by UNESCO’s international advisers in its present form and the consideration of alternative options should be undertaken.

Stonehenge was given to the nation and people should not have to pay to see the stones as they will be hidden from public view.

I cannot understand why, when so many people who know the site intimately and who understand its value and importance, the scheme is still going ahead and I would like to add my voice to those who ask that the current scheme be abandoned and the project rethought.
