I object very strongly to a World Heritage Site being irreprably damaged by the construction of the tunnel. The status of WHS is allocated by UNESCO and they have expressed their objection to this tunnel and it blatantly contradicts and contravenes every value of its WHS status. I object to the light pollution that will be caused by the tunnel portals. I object to the irreparable damage that will be caused to the Archaeology within the Stonehenge landscape particularly to Blick Mead. I thoroughly object to the potential lasting damage to the local wildlife the building and existence of the tunnel. The whole plan is shortsighted, expensive, misguided and will only cause permanent damage to an historic landscape that we are only the guardians of and we have a duty to future generations to preserve this unique place in its entirety and as a landscape.
