Stonehenge is a precious treasure at the heart of a sacred stone age landscape. Its historic and current setting functions in helping people worldwide, from toddlers to centenarians, to better understand heritage, our pasts and futures, and offers much more learning to come. As such it’s unaltered state benefits the mental health of humanity. It was a gift intended to be preserved wholly in its natural state. As with fracking, tunnelling will be ruinous for its sensitive archaeological ground; it’s construction noise inducing, bird disturbing, and view obscuring - detrimental for health and wellbeing. I trust in the greater knowledge of archaeologists, historians, anthropologists, geographers, druids, and thinkers et al in their educated resistance to this murderous plan.
