It is my understanding from learned historians, archaeologists and UNESCO that this proposal risks irreparable damage to England’s most important Neolithic site. And for what? We need to reduce our reliance on cars. We need fewer cars and roads, not more, and we certainly should not sacrifice our most precious heritage. These proposals should be rejected.
