Blick Mead & locale: unique archaeological value. Numerous 'firsts' attributed to site; first contact btw. Mesolithic hunters and Neolithic farmers, thus evidencing huge significance to siting of Stonehenge, with more discovered about human history year on year. Why destroy human history that is just being discovered? No logic to this plan. Building the tunnel in it'a current proposed format will destroy BM forever, damage has already occurred due to careless sample-drilling by EH operatives. The proposed flyover will ruin the water table and with it all organic remains. The Spring, untouched since last Ice Age will be destroyed. No alternatives explored by HE, why? Other valid concerns: tunnel length will NOT reduce traffic issues, just drive underground - H&S/fire/breakdowns in tunnel? H&S for local area/ ratruns to avoid building works/noise pollution/disruption to locale for years. Ruinous damage to Stonehenge landscape, local wildlife & ecosystem destruction. Plans appear to being 'rushed' through without thought to consequence. Conclusion: Not Acceptable and alternatives MUST be explored. I call for timely rethink and transparency.
