The Lower Thames Crossing is too costly. It will relieve congestion in a very limited way because it will have to feed into existing roads within a very short distance from the crossing. The amount of concrete and tarmac covering useful land is too much and interferes with the natural landscape and environment detrimentally. A new container rail link would have been greener and cause less disruption to the environment.
