I am strongly against further environmentally destructive Road building. We are in a climate emergency and should be discouraging car use and improving public transport. The cost of this project cannot be justified when our country is experiencing a financial crisis. This money could improve public transport, support the NHS and improve our education system. Younger people do not drive in the same numbers that young people did 40 years ago and so we do not need bigger roads. I am very strongly against this road development.
