I am writing on behalf of our client, Warley Green Limited, in response to the notice of acceptance by the Secretary of State for the A122 Lower Thames Crossing Development Consent Order (DCO). The purpose of this representation is to bring the Inspector’s attention to the existing planning permission on land that lies within the Order Limits of the DCO. Our client currently has a planning permission for the following description of development: ‘Installation of renewable led energy generating station comprising groundmounted photovoltaic solar arrays and battery-based electricity storage containers together with substation, inverter/transformer stations, site accesses, grid connection cable, internal access tracks, security measures, access gates, other ancillary infrastructure, landscaping and biodiversity enhancements’ The permissions apply to land sited within the administrative boundaries of both the London Borough of Havering (ref. P0059.21) and Thurrock Council (ref. 21/00077/FUL). The sites are located within the Order Limits of the DCO. We are unable to attach any documents to this representation however would be more than happy to provide a copy of the location plans for the land covered by the planning permissions. We wish to make the Inspector aware that the solar development is now progressing towards construction which is expected to commence late February 2023 and is anticipated to be completed by March 2024. As such, the development will be fully implemented when the DCO works are expected to begin in 2024. By bringing these permissions and the associated construction timetable to the Inspector’s attention, we wish to ensure that that any works directly related to the DCO, or Order Limits, would not prejudice this consented development. We will continue to monitor the progress of the DCO and will make further written representations at the Examination stage if considered necessary. Kind regards [Redacted] DLP Planning Ltd.
