Having lived in this area all my life I find this proposal completely unrealistic. Every time you increase the road capacity you increase traffic, which in turn increases pollution and destroys the environment. We have had more of our fair share of development in this area. This has increased pressure on our schools, doctors, and hospitals. Which as we know are already under stress. For the local community this will do nothing to improve our lives, indeed it will do the complete opposite. It's about time planers starting looking at other alternatives to road use. Before we privatised the railways we had a goods infrastructure which took goods are cars all over the country. I have on many occasions traveled up to Scotland on the Motor Rail which of course reduces the omissions on the Road as well as the amount of traffic. Just building more roads will not solve this problem and they money you have should be spent in investing in better ways. This is a terrible idea and one everyone in this area will pay for in years to come.
