BEAN RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION Our Ref: 22-23/E279 This is a protective Objection. Our position and concerns are: - 1. We do not feel the new LTC will overcome problems at Dartford. 2. Whilst LTC may temporarily reduce A2 w/b traffic, it is unattractive for M25 n/b users. 3. To reduce costs, A2 Bean & Ebbsfleet junction improvements assumed LTC will be built. 4. The A2BE Scheme omitted already needed carriageway widening on Swanscombe Cutting. 5. If DRC northbound remains busy, coastbound traffic on A2 for LTC will increase. 6. Forecasts of traffic from M2 via LTC are affected by omission of proper Tilbury junction. 7. The extent that northbound M25 users will divert from DRC to LTC is uncertain. 8. Even with LTC, any delay on M25 towards DRC will still lead to diversion via local roads. 9. Is LTC cost and environmental damage justified when its location is not on the desire line? 10. What certainty is there that further DRC bridge/widening won’t still be needed with LTC?
