The new road would damage the Kent Downs AONB. Affect SSSI and SAC and endangered species. With the research on continued congestion and associated air pollution with any new road, the cost of 10 billion should be spent on decongestion, bringing people onto public transport, and long term reduced train fares. The expectation of everyone getting electric vehicles is supposition, and people may opt for public transport, work from home, cycle etc. Dartford tunnel would not be eased of co getting and be over its capacity, so writing off one of the reasons for the LTC. Carbon and construction emissions will make this project the largest emmitter of pollution. Always, alongside new roads, come more access roads giving rise to new infrastructure, buildings, etc which will affect communities and their greenbacks, noise pollution and split wildlife habitats yet again, causing wildlife to suffer as well as people.
