I want to object to the £10bn Lower Thames Crossing. I do not agree with spending public money on a single new road when fossil fuel use & resulting carbon emissions need to be stopped. This road will have a negative impact on climate change and will destroy precious habitats and landscapes, particularly on the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. I much better use of the funds would be to introduce electric vehicles for public transport in London, and also to vastly improve public transport in the north of England where we almost always have no choice but to use cars if we need to get from A to B at a specific time or avoid a very long time travelling.
