Hello, as the window for guaranteed climate breakdown is fast closing, I feel that I must object strongly to this application to the Lower Thames Crossing. There is, imho, nothing post about this application. It will not only cause catastrophic harm to the natural environment and ecology, to the air quality to those living locally, it is also the eye watering (prohibitive) cost. This cost will undoubtably be kicked down the road, for younger generations to pick up the tab, in all manner of different ways. It is the young who I am most concerned about, when it comes to the ensuing climate crisis. They’re not going to have: safe drinking water security, food security, safe air quality levels, ground pollution, the list is long. At a time when the scientific evidence is so strong against continuing CO2 levels being pumped into the atmosphere, then new roads are NOT the answer. We should be leaving future generations with a safer, sustainable world NOT a worse one. Again, I strongly object to the Lower Thames Crossing.
