I strongly object to this proposal as it would not reduce traffic congestion and would cause significant environmental damage, including air pollution, destruction of wildlife habitats and climate change. The projected costs would be more effectively invested in traffic reduction, rather than facilitating unsustainable growth of private motor transport, which would contravene local and national planning policy.
