BPL has no objection to the principle of the Project. The majority of matters are agreed as set out in the Statement of Common Ground. Its concern the subject of this Representation relates to the proposed timing of Works G8 and G9 (schedule 7 to the DCO), being works proposed by the Project to remove a section of BPL’s pipeline. BPL is required to carry out decommissioning of its pipeline, including adjoining sections of pipeline Should the timing of Works G8 and G9 overlap the timing of BPL's decommissioning works, it would likely impede the timely completion of BPL's decommissioning works by BPL's contractors, giving rise to increased decommissioning costs BPL seeks assurance that Works G8 and G9 will not be carried out during BPL’s decommissioning of its adjoining pipeline, such as to impede BPL’s decommissioning works. National Highways is asked to maintain liaison with BPL regarding timing of Works G8 and G9, to use reasonable endeavours to avoid impeding BPL’s decommissioning works to the pipeline and to acknowledge that compensateable loss may be caused to BPL should works G8 and G9 interfere with or delay BPL’s pipeline decommissioning works
