This representation is made on behalf of Enovert South Limited to confirm that, subject to finalisation of commercial terms, Enovert South Limited have reached agreement with National Highways to use some 72 hectares of land at the former Mucking landfill site located in Stanford le Hope, Thurrock for use as a receptor site as part of the programme of reptile translocation works associated with the Lower Thames Crossing project. The land in question is to be enhanced through the creation of topographical features, hibernacula and specialist planting to provide optimal habitat for the translocated reptiles. Enovert South Limited are the freehold owner of the Mucking site. In principle an agreement has been reached between the parties to secure the use, and long term management, of this part of the Mucking site as reptile habitat for a period of not less than 99 years. Enovert South Limited have submitted this representation to become an Interested Party and participate in the forthcoming Examination if necessary.
