Significant air pollution in the form of NEE ie fine particulates from the road/tyre/brake dust and does not future-proof the environment up and downstream A clean and environmentally sustainable using steel on steel with no pollution at the point of use either up/downstream. A form of public transport that is sympathetic to those in transport poverty, generally those with no access to a car The solution using trams here is for better value for money, reducing the cost to the NHS by not having to treat cardiovascular-type issues and particulate damage such as Alzheimer's, dementia, and depression amongst other ailments caused by transport air pollution. With recent legislation as experienced in Southwark, it is now possible to sue the local authority for failing to ensure clean breathable air.
