I would like to make my representation on the facts that A) The wrong option for the crossing was made. Option C is most damaging for our borough and would have been better to be built further out along the A130 B) The proposed crossing will increase pollution and destroy our boroughs already bad air quality C) The proposed crossing has been shown that it will not stop the crossing at Dartford’s congestion, merely reduce the level of the current traffic. As such when there is a closure or accident the new crossing will have little benefit on resolving the huge congestion around Chafford and Lakeside created as studies have been shown D) The proposed new motorway will be a smart motorway. At present the Government has halted all building of new smart motorways due to serious risks highlighted on the current network. As such why is this being built?
