I am strongly opposed to the LTC, this scheme is a waste of taxpayers' money in the cost-of-living crisis, equating to over 10 billion for construction and it is not fit for purpose.  I have been involved throughout the lengthy 7 years of consultation periods, where National Highways have constantly misled the public and government by presenting out of date studies, data, and business cases. I have participated in many discussions with National Highways Representatives and been rudely dismissed even though logical arguments supported by evidence was presented.  The proposal is damaging to the environment, it will increase air pollution by an estimated 6.6 million tonnes of carbon,  whilst carving the green belt in half. This will separate many communities of from each other, it goes through contaminated land, the flood plains and ancient wooden land to list a few.
