  1. The project will increase traffic leading to an increase in emissions which is not in line with government’s Net Zero strategy. 2. It will not solve the problem of congestion at the Dartford crossing. 3. It will impact on areas of outstanding natural beauty (ANOBS) taking decades for tress and vegetation to re-establish following swathes of countryside being devastated by the building of the crossing. 4. At a cost of £10bn it is a project the taxpayer can ill afford and does not represent value for money. 5. It will decimate local communities.
