I am in support of the project. I use the A12 at least 5 times a week, and due to the location of my home relative to my job I am unable to use public transport, therefore have to drive. On my 1 hour journey to work I spend roughly 40 minutes on the A12, at least least 10 minutes of this is below the speed limit due to congestion and roughly 5 minutes is at a stop. I also use the Rivenhall Junction to enter the A12 which is a struggle due to its short length. With the Rivenhall section of the A12 only being 2 lanes, there are often vehicles that can't/won't move over to allow entry on to the road. I have started using the Kelvedon Junction to enter and exit to avoid this problem, but find that the local roads through Kelvedon and towards Tiptree struggle from congestion. Without two-way entry and exit onto the Kelvedon bypass it makes sense that the local roads would take the brunt of the traffic. I would therefore welcome the proposals to make entering/exiting the road safer and easier. I would also welcome improved journey times, especially removing the stop/start driving that comes with congestion.
