This road will do nothing but increase traffic along the A12. It will increase pollution and have a negative environmental impact in a time when we need to do all we can to protect the environment. It will encourage travellers to use their cars more rather than a train, because they will assume the traffic issues will be resolved. Ipso facto, increasing traffic volumes! It will also have a huge negative impact on the villages such as Easthorpe and Messing as the road will be carved through the countryside near those villages. Farmland, trees and hedgerows will be destroyed along with their inhabitants - insects, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. This is a crazy idea and will be of huge detriment to the county.
