I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of consideration given to the existing unacceptable levels of noise pollution from the A12 past Boreham. There are inadequate measures in the proposed widening scheme to reduce existing noise pollution, or prevent even more noise from additional traffic using the A12 and Main Road through Boreham. Just resurfacing the existing three southbound A12 lanes is simply inadequate. Also the fact that even more traffic will be travelling through Boreham as a result of the proposals, means the scheme is not meeting its own objectives. Boreham often suffers from increased traffic when there is a problem on the A12, and it is inconceivable for National Highways to think it is okay for the impact on our village to become substantially worse.
