National Highways knew for several years prior to the publication of their June 2021 statutory consulatative booklet, that closing the on-slip at junction 20a would have very adverse effects for Boreham. Despite this, they did not consult on this proposed closure and have provided spurious reasons for declining to professionally evaluate a practical alternative that would actually achieve their objectives and protect Boreham. To their shame, they did not propose any mitigation for Boreham until prompted to do so by objections to their proposal regarding junction 20a. Those eventually proposed are inadequate
