As a local resident of Thanet that, although i'm 73 years old, my concerns for the area and it's future are still as strong as ever.It is my strong belief the future of Thanet would be much brighter with Manston operating as a fully functional Airport,especially with Brexit being in the very near and the prospect of trade with countries further afield making the runway capacity a vital nessecity.We all know that Heathrow and Gatwick are struggling under the increase of air-traffic,hence the battle for an extra runway at both sites which is not wanted by any of the local population at either.If both sites could move a large portion of their Freight to Manston that would open the room for more Passengers and eliminate the need for extra runway capacity.
