To see Manston reopened as a working airfield. This will benefit the the people who live in Thanet where there high unemployment it will also economically benefit the area, which for too many years has been left by previous governments as a unemployment blackspot. The thought of more housing in this area horrifies me as the inferstructure to support the present population of Thanet just does not exist and cannot be built to support the extra population that the extra housing will bring to the area, when I am talking about inferstructure I am referring to lack of medical care, hospital that is struggling, doctors that are overcrowded, then the roads systems which at certain times are a nightmare, water and sewerage systems all at breaking point. I say no the the airport will bring far more benefits and prosperity to Thanet, so the only sensible answer for Manston is to let RSP reopen it as working viable airport.
