- I used the airport while it did Europe and Domestic flights, I lost money when it closed on pre-booked flights, and since Train link of HS2, I have not really missed it at all for London travel.
- The site has a proven track record as a failure when used as an airport, I believe the amount of investment required to make a successful airport is high (short runway length limiting options).
- Ramsgate has a little used ferry port which could support freight, investment should be put into that to support Dover and lessen an 'operation stack' effect of ships and lorry traffic.
- The Discovery park has thrived since Pfizer moved away, proving an airport does not really drive business in the area.
- Encouraging people to move to Ramsgate, would drive more money into the local regeneration of the area, especially with the nature park so close. Fears over noise / pollution from the airport may have the opposite effect.
