I am passionately in favour of a return to aviation for Manston Airport for the following main reasons... -A mainly cargo based operation has an excellent chance of being successful

-This will provide a large number of jobs, badly needed, for the area

-The strategic importance of an airport with a long runway in it's geographic situation
should simply not be allowed to be thrown away.

Re-opening of Manston airport means a return to aviation on this historic site and will benefit the community at large by providing jobs..not only as a direct result of aviation but also from a resurgence in support services, the infrastructure for which is already under way. This shows the commitment and confidence the community has in a return to both freight and passenger services for Manston. There are many minor benefits which will accrue from the proposal but another major consideration is the preservation of a strategic runway of great length which should never be lost to the country.
