Our regional airports, Heathrow and Gatwick, are getting so very busy that they both need new runways.
There is already a large runway in East Kent, Manston Airport, which can take the pressure off of both of the main airports without demolishing villages.
With "Brexit" just around the corner, I believe Manston will help alleviate any cross Chanel problems that may occur and I would hope that a lot of the freight on those cross Chanel lorries will perhaps be transferred to cargo flights to Manston.
