I think that there is a benefit for Manston to re-open as aviation.
There are lots of benefits:
Jobs - we need available jobs in the Thanet area.
The history of Manston airport - It is the old RAF quarters and has the longest runway in England therefore use it to what it is intended.
Also bring income into Thanet, by way of travel. Whatever airline uses Manston, people will use it to travel therefore bring income into Thanet.
We do not have enough school places, doctors, hospitals to cope with more houses on the site. Yes this would bring jobs into Thanet but only for a short period why the properties are being built. If the airport opens again there will be jobs available all day every day.
It Can be used by freight or passengers.
The red arrows use this airport and the helicopters. Virgin used it for there training.
We need this in Thanet!!!!!
