I have lived in Ramsgate my whole life a really feel the loss of the airport. i have lived right under the flight path for 25 years it has never been a problem for me, even late at night when the big heavy cargo plans use to come in, i actually miss hearing the planes, I miss seeing the red arrows coming in pretty much every weekend throughout the summer months. The important historial value of the area will also be lost. we desperately need our airport back, this gave local people jobs in all different trades, such as customer services, food services,administration, health and safety, engineering/mechanical jobs. The return of these jobs will bring back opportunities for generations to come. if we eventually get passenger routes through again it will bring people to the area for holidaying in our area, helping with our tourist trade and the people that are flying out, using our hotels and local facilities before flying out. we need to bring these opportunities to our local area. The last thing we need in Thanet is more houses/to bring more people form out of the area in. There is already no room in our local schools, you cant get into Dr or dentist as all are full,even if you are lucky registered you could wait weeks to get an appointment.Most A&E visits are 5 hour plus wait and everywhere you look there are more houses going up.We want our airport back. Please, we dont need or want more houses.
