Manston airport is in an area of high unemployment. Manston airport can seriously contribute to the national economy. Manston airport can alleviate congestion at Heathrow and Gatwick. Thanet is not dependent on the Manston airport site to fulfil its housing quota. Proposals of industry and employment by the current owners has reduced considerably since taking possession of Manston airport. Personal experiences and local knowledge if required.
