Having lived here for 31 years under the flight path (approx 1.5km from the runway) I am appalled that this is even being considered. When planes previously flew over it was impossible to have a telephone conversation - you could not hear your television - could not hold a conversation, everything stopped until the plane had passed. Car alarms went off frequently as planes passed. I also am concerned about Noise, pollution and long term health effects. Schools stopped the lessons when planes flew over totally disrupting classes and it has been shown that children are obtaining higher results since the planes ceased. I notice there is no cap on ATMs so why haven't RSP considered a Public Safety Zone at each end of the runway? The noise monitors seem to going 6.5kms from the runway, how does that help those that live much closer and it would appear one of these monitors would actually be in the sea.
