Manston Airport should be re-opened because it would bring many jobs to a deprived area, the runway once the longest in England should be used again, Manston is very near the sea if any plane was in trouble they could head for Manston as they did in the war, for a safe landing. It is an historic airfield with a proven record and should be up and running again to serve the people and freight of Kent. Airfreight/cargo will mean less lorries blocking up our roads, and less need for 'operation stack' quicker access to all over the world for our new trading deal after Brexit. Manston Airfield could be used to help take the pressure off Heathrow and Gatwick airports. It would be the waste of an historic airfield to prevent its further aviation use. We need to see planes taking off again from Manston Airpor! Mrs.G. Hogben -[Redacted]
