Thanet is strategically placed for the development of a transport hub for both European and International flights. There is a very short overland flight path before aircraft are over the sea. This is much better than the flight paths for Gatwick and Heathrow.

The runway is long enough for all aircraft and there are good road and rail links to London and Europe. We have a good high speed rail link from Ramsgate and when the planned Parkway station is built it will be possible for passengers to be in Central London in an hour. There could be the potential for rail links to the channel tunnel.

Thanet is an area that desperately needs employment opportunities, to not use our major asset of the airport would be a crime. We have the basic facilities already in place and the willingness of the local people to make it succeed.

I would say to any dissenters why did you decide to live by an airport if you didn't want to hear planes flying?

If the country is to maximise the opportunities Brexit will bring, we need dedicated freight airports where goods can be cleared and moved without the problems of central London traffic.

The one thing this area does not need is a massive housing development at Manston. Our water comes from aquifers that would not cope with a significant rise in demand.
Our hospital could not cope, and there is no work for existing residents.

WE NEED JOBS FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE NOT EXPENSIVE HOUSES THAT THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO WORK .
