To whom it may concern
It is my belief that the Manston site should be returned to its former state as a fully operational and working airport, not only to create much-needed employment and jobs in Thanet but also to preserve its great history as part of the RAF. In this case, I also believe that restoring Manston to a fully operational Airport and specifically a freight hub could relieve some of the extreme pressure on Heathrow and its need for a third runway. It is also my view that as much of the freight leaving and arriving at Heathrow arrives on lorries going to and from Europe using Dover and Folkstone and with Manstons close proximity to these ports makes it an ideal Airport to serve the UK as a major freight hub.
