The RSP cargo hub proposal in my view would be extremley damaging to the wellbeing of Thanet residents and have a severe negative impact on its burgeoning economy, housing market and prevailing coastal enviroment. The case for a 24/7 cargo hub appears manufactured and greatly overstated in every respect; and has been strongly rebuffed by opposing research. I dont believe Thanet has either the road nor rail connections to support such a huge influx of cargo as intend. Given that there has been at least also two previous attempts to operate the airfield, what confidence can be had that the venture would operate for any meaningful duration, perhaps this is the desired, outcome leaving RSP to do what they will with the land they aquired for a not too inconsiderable cost.
