The Manston Airport site is a site of national importance with huge opportunity to provide a valuable air freight and passenger service to the Kent area.

The current south of England airports are basically at full capacity with current expansion plans at Heathrow likely to take a decade or more to come to fruition whereas Manston could probably be operational within three years.

There are huge employment opportunities available if Manston airport is reopened and run correctly, jobs which are desperately needed in the area.

The current runway at Manston has the ability to handle most of the current largest aircraft, again another point of its great importance to alleviate the pressure of full landing slots at the other main airports in the south of England.
