I completely support this application for Manston Airport.

There is an urgent requirement for runway capacity in the south east, and this can be met by an operational Manston Airport relieving other London airports of some of their freight burden. The plan for 19 new cargo stands, combined with knowledge of previous (pre-closure) freight turnaround of under one hour, and the road transport links to the rest of the UK, will help to make this a reality.

The runway, taxiways, aprons and hard standings are in desperate need of repair and upgrade, owing to the permanent damage inflicted by Mott McDonald (on behalf of Stone Hill Park Ltd), as well as the wholesale asset-stripping of the site by Peaker Pattinson (on behalf of Lothian Shelf 718 Ltd) and RSP have addressed this in their plans.

The addition of the flight training school will be welcome, and as such I plan to frequent it upon opening, in order to obtain my own PPL.
